    Booth G22, Somerset House, London

    5 – 8 October, 2017

Tunis and Dubai-based Elmarsa Gallery is pleased to participate in the 5th edition of 1:54 Contemporary African Art Fair in London from 5 to 8 October 2017, at booth G22 in Somerset House.

For its first year of participation in this international art fair dedicated to the contemporary African art scene, Elmarsa is presenting a group exhibition of five artists, both established and emerging talents, who are shaping the contemporary art scene in North Africa. From Gouider Triki (b.1949) and Khaled Ben Slimane (b.1951) to Omar Bey (b.1973), Atef Maatallah (b.1981), and Thameur Mejri (b. 1982), the exhibition offers a lens on the intersection of social, political and cultural shifts that have taken place in both the Arab and African worlds. While working in their respective visual languages and unique mixed media practices, each artist is forging new ground.
