Born in 1950 in Sfax, Tunisia, Samir Triki is currently a member of the department of Arts at the National Foundation for Letters, Sciences and Arts Beit al-Hikma in Carthage. He holds a Diploma of Artistic Teaching from the Institute of Technology, Art, Architecture and Urban Planning of Tunis (1976), a Master's degree in Aesthetics (1977) and a Ph.D. in Aesthetics and Art Sciences both from the University of Paris │ Panthéon Sorbonne (1982).
He has been involved in the cultural affairs of various associations and national organizations (Secretary General of the Tunisian Artists Union) and co-founded the Festival of Plastic Arts of Maharès and the ATEP-Tunisian Association of Aesthetics and Poiesis). Since 1976, he has participated regularly in various group exhibitions in Tunisia and abroad. In May 2015, he organized a solo exhibition at the Galerie Le Violon Bleu in Sidi Bou Saïd, Tunis. His works can be found in various public and private collections in Tunisia and abroad.
